Wharton Executive MBA
The Wharton Executive MBA degree program is tailored to professionals who have already amassed several years’ worth of work experience in the business field. Students who wish to earn an Executive Master of Business Administration through Wharton must attend classes at either the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or San Francisco, California campuses. The Wharton Executive MBA program is completed over a two-year period, during which students take courses on Fridays and Saturdays of alternating weeks. Wharton online MBA is not currently available online, however it’s always worth contacting Wharton directly to inquire about the availability of a Wharton online MBA, which has a distance learning option.
–Students who are accepted to the Wharton Executive MBA program are usually a minimum of 30 years old, with at least eight years of work experience and at least five years of management experience. Applicants to the program are required to submit academic transcripts, three essays, two recommendation letters, results of the GMAT, and a letter of endorsement. Applications are due in mid-January for the San Francisco campus and early February for the Philadelphia campus.
–The Wharton Executive MBA program begins each year in late April for San Francisco students and late May for Philadelphia students. In addition to attending classes every other weekend, students must also spend a week abroad for an International Study Seminar. Some weekend sessions will be extended to three days in length at periodic times during the two-year program.
–The Wharton Executive MBA program accepted approximately 200 students into the 2008 entering class. Tuition fees for the Wharton Executive MBA are $150,870 for the Philadelphia campus and $159,810 for the San Francisco campus.
