Babson College Olin Graduate School online MBA

The F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College is located in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  They have been recognized as one of the best business schools in the country.  The college was established in 1916 and the MBA program was ranked number 1 in Entrepreneurship from 1994-2009.  Babson is 1 of only 3 U.S. institutions of higher learning to earn the EQUIS accreditation, as well as be accredited by AACSB.  There are a number of paths to MBA and one of those is the Fast Track MBA, combining face to face with web based learning.

The Fast Track MBA is a part time program that takes only 2 years to complete. It is designed for the professional that does not want to put their career on hold to go back to school.  Admission requirements begin with 8 years of work experience and a degree from an accredited college or university that is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.  The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required and the scores usually range between 600 to 640.  Any applicant that has not earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a U.S., U.K., Australian, or New Zealand institution, and does not speak English as their native language is required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).  The Internet-based Test (iBT) minimum score is 100.

The program requires a 5 day residency kick off at the Babson campus at the beginning of new classes and face to face meetings approximately every six weeks, consisting of all day Friday and Saturday.  The 3 major components of the Fast Track MBA program are the face to face meetings, active learning projects, and distance learning. There is another Babson campus in Portland, Oregon that offers the same MBA programs.
